Moses gives the commands of the Lord to the people of Israel. He tells them to obey them so that they could live and occupy the land God was giving them. "You saw for yourself what the Lord did to you at Baal-peor. There the Lord your God destroyed everyone who had worshiped Baal, the god of Peor. But all of you who were faithful to the Lord your God are still alive today-everyone of you." Oh he also mentions a couple more times that the Lord was angry with him because of them so he can't cross the Jordan River with them. One last poke:)
Jesus teaches in parables again today. "And why worry about a speck in your friend's eye when you have a log in your own eye? How can you think of saying, 'Friend, let me help you get rid of that speck in your eye,' when you can't see past the log in your own eye? Hypocrite! First get rid of the log in your own eye; then you will see well enough to deal with the speck in your friend's eye." Oh I think we all can relate to that at some point in our lives. It's easy to sit back and point out someones flaws and give criticism on how they could change when if you take a moment to look at your own actions you might see you need some work there first. Speaking from experience.....
